As for the Netbook, that ties in with above as Behemoth weighs like 9kg and my baggage allowance is only 10kg... plus Behemoth was EXPENSIVE so I'd rather not leave him in an apartment in a strange country. So I'm looking for a netbook to just use internets and msn on (and my mom wants it to check emails and her website.)

Though I'm wanting to buy a Linux machine purely for the fact windows machines cost so bloody much and I can always put XP on it if I really don't get on with Linux (new user of the OS, famous last words). Though mom threw a tantrum at me wanting a Linux machine because SHE wants Windows, she wasn't very happy when I said _I_ was buying it for MY use that SHE was BORROWING so she could shove her complaints where the sun don't shine as far as I was concerned. Just scribbling down some crappy challenges for me when I have time or if I get bored. You guys can feel free to do it too if you like

I tried sorta setting it out like an art exam paper would but it's been so long since I've seen an art paper that I've forgotten.


Challenge: Create at least 30 pages of sketches and a facing page with notes on at least one of these topics. You must use mixed media.

1: Create a language. (ie: Hieroglyphics)

- Think of shapes and sounds. How do they fit together?
- Can they be joined to make a new word?
- Are they all separate letters or words in themselves?
- How many 'letters' does your language have?
- Do they/how do they correspond with 'Western' letters?
- Are they eye pleasing?

2: Fabrics.

- Folds, textures, patterns and colors.
- Matching or clashing?
- Modern? Fancy? Clothes? Curtains? Bedspreads? Make up your own fabric uses.
- Make them interact; i.e.: draped over a branch, a jug, a body, etc.
- Lighting! Strong? Soft? Evening? Fluorescent?
- Shiny or dull fabric?
- How does this affect the overall image?

3: Smaller plants and flora.

- Make your own or look at existing plants, look at prehistoric plants.
- Leaf shapes, colors, designs.
- Vines, creepers, bushes, flowerpatches, mix & match.
- Are they trapped and tame or wild and overgrown?
- Positioning and light?
- How strong are they?
- Are they parasitic?
- Do they feed on other plants, insects or animals?
- Are they cannibalistic?

4: Trees.
- Pick or create a few trees.
- What are their leaves like?
- What do they look like during seasons?
- What eats them?
- What do they eat?
- How big are they?
- How would they stand up to a natural disaster like a fire, flood or hurricane?
- Human uses? Boats? Homes? Furniture?
- What is their bark and heart like?
- Colors of leaves, bark and heart?
- Are they considered 'abnormal'?

5: People.
- Pick & mix poses, make them interesting. Maybe mix this with #2 (fabrics).
- Interact with the surroundings.
- What are they doing?
- What are they feeling? Anger? Happiness? Love? Sadness?
- Does this come across well?
- Who are they interacting with if there are more than one person?
- What are they doing with/to them?
- What is the general feeling?
- Are they 'mythical' beings like Angels or Chimeras or normal humans?
- Who are they? Are they important? How do we know if they are or aren't?
- Do they have family seals?

6: Creatures.
- Create or pick some creatures.
- Do they have Winter and Summer coats? If so, what are they colored like?
- Where are they native to?
- Common features?
- Features unique to them?
- Defensive/offensive techniques?
- General attitude?
- How big are they?
- What are they? Hunter, Hunted? Steed? Etc.
- Ailments and genetic mutations?
- Do they have the albino gene? If so, what does it look like?
- Gaits; How do they walk? Can they walk? Do they burrow and/or fly?
- Species name? Common and/or extended.

Either Naito or Terra, depends who gets fed up with Lucifer flirting with Terra first, Lucifer would then probably pass out on the floor until he is fetched (likely by a paramedic).

II. If II (Virgil) had to do one nice thing for VIII (Eldrich), what would it be?

Erm, Virgil's not nice so it would likely be him not pouring veet (hair removal cream) all over Eldrich.

III. If IV (Fen) and VII (Loki) co-starred in a movie, what genre would it most likely fall under?

Humor, Fen's crazy… Poor Loki will then be forever mentally scarred and be terrified of boobs rather like Virgil is.

IX. If III (Aya) was made into a toy, who would be more likely to buy it? IX (Akanni) or X (Tsuki)?

Tsuki, Akanni is a slave and doesn't have will of his own.

V. Would V (Noname) be likely to consider stalking XII (Rini) or vise versa?

Erm… probably neither seeing as Rini is the eclipsed moon and Noname hates anything to do with the Earth.


VI. What would VI (Lucifer) make the better star of? An anime or a newspaper comic strip?

Depends who'd want to read about a drunkard… Likely a newspaper strip as those are generally short and doesn't continue freely.


VII. VIII (Eldrich) wants to buy a car but can't decide who offers a better bargain. Should (s)he buy from II (Virgil) or XI (Terra)?

Whoever he buys from he's going to end up in a lamppost. Terra hasn't a clue about the 'metallic beetles' the humans she created are and Virgil is a mean little bitch and would be amused at his strife. That said, Eldrich would likely piddle on the car after turning into his wolf form and just use his own power to get where he wants.

VIII. If V (Noname) wanted to dye his or her hair but could not decide on the color, would (s)he rely on I's (Naito) opinion or IV's (Fen)?

… Lol. He'd likely dye his hair with Naito's guts? And he trusts Fen as far as a flea can toss her (*squish*). So I'm betting neither.


IX. Whose babies would be cuter? XII (Rini) and III's (Aya) or IX (Akanni) and II's (Virgil)? (If it is impossible for them to breed because of gender or species, just go with it and pretend that it was possible, please.)

I'm not quite sure. They may both have their cute points? Though I think Rini would castrate Aya before they got down to it. Virgil is just a whore but Akanni is a sheep so… VirgilxAkanni babys.

X. Who would have a DeviantArt account; and if not, what would their reason be?

Virgil, he likes to paint and he is the vainest out of all of them. So yes… Definitely Virgil.
